History

Bishop of Tacámbaro for more than 38 years, he was characterized by his dedication and works that benefitted the inhabitants, and he distinguished himself for his kindness and service to the people in most need.  Various buildings and constructions in Tacámbaro bear his name.  One that stands out is the plaza where one finds a statue of his image.
