History

The wife of Mexican president Lázaro Cárdenas del Río and the mother Mexican politician Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Solórzano, she was born in Tacámbaro in 1911 and acquired distinction for being a social activist in defense of the indigenous and the sovereignty of Mexico.
