History

Michoacán writer and diplomat, while he was living in Tacámbaro he changed his writing style from Mexican Revolution towards a narrative focused both on important figures as well as landscapes and humor.  This style is reflected in his work “Tacámbaro,” where he portrays irony in the town and the weaknesses of men.  He is the author of the well-known novel La Vida Inútil de Pito Pérez (The Worthless Life of Pito Pérez), which is considered the first Mexican picaresque novel.
